I’m hoping just last me a few weeks and then when I come back from vacation in January I can replace them with all terrains. 275 60R20, thinking of Falken AT3W

No way, if that thing lets go you’ll be throwing chunks of tire around at high speed.

Amputate before it spreads to the other tires!

Those wranglers do that for some reason. Liking my AT3w so far. SO MEATY!

Then we don’t have to worry, the transmission will give up long before that tire does.

You hope it lasts. We hope it doesn’t kill you in the meantime.

It might be ok. I got some new Goodyear tires on my Thunderbird, and one of them had a lump like that. They said it was a harmless overlap in the sidewall material, and sure enough, it never caused me any trouble over the next three or so years that I owned the car.

20/32nds tread depth. Very meaty.

Yeah that’s the nature of these shit-ass tires. It’s not a bubble but an overlap at a seam. I have them on mine too; aksed a shop guy and he said ‘yup nope not a bubble, just shit-ass tires breh’

Right there was always a little bump there but it’s getting worse

hard to tell over the gear whine, but they are quieter than the outgoing Duratracs. Chalk that up being new I suspect.

what the heck - they don’t even look that old, and it’s not like they are some junk off brand either... lame

Oh. In that case, maybe it’s letting air escape towards the outer layer there.

Tire pressure has been fine

Oh, I don’t mean an external leak. I’m referring to air getting past the inner liner of the tire (sort of like an inner tube but not really the same thing), and reaching the outer layer. The tire doesn’t lose pressure, but some of that pressure is migrating to an area it shouldn’t.
At least, that’s my best guess. Since your bump is growing, I’ve changed my mind about it being just a cosmetic defect.
